Love the revamp of the headline--"resigned" is inaccurate. Many women like me just don't want to give up our freedom to take care of a man--when we're already taking care of children and elderly parents (I just take care of cats, but I know lots of women pull double duty all the time). When men want to grow up and take care of themselves, then maybe women will reconsider. The current examples of "manliness" in this country are not promising for the future . . .
An important conversation that needs to continue. Excellent articulation of the self-empowering emotional and financial independence that continues to transform our gender. After the hard won re-build post-divorce, it is hard to justify giving that up.
Love the suggested WSJ headline — perfect!
Thank you, Justin! And just so you know, I can’t wait to get to your post on Charley Crockett!

Hahaha! Love this column. I would 100% play a slot machine that comes up TURD TURD TURD.
Luckily, all you need to do is download Tinder and give it a spin! ;)
Thank you, Kali!!
Hahaha!
Woman sitting at slot machine, where the icons line up not as “cherry, cherry, cherry” or “7, 7, 7, but “TURD, TURD, TURD”
That literally made me laugh out loud, Alison, nicely done!
Ah! What a compliment!!
FANTASTIC, Alison. <3
Thank you for reading!!

Thank you, Michele! And how well-stated!
