My sister has been going out to Miss Effie’s for years (she is the one who sent me her substack) but I never knew where it was until I drove by it a couple of weeks ago to take my daughter to a grad party!

I didn’t know anything about the moon until I saw it that night from my back porch lol

I gave up on dating a long time ago. I prefer good friendships over romantic relationships. Good friends are so much better! 😂

I need a First and Best Commenter trophy to give to YOU!

Yep I'd heard of it for a long time, too, (and heard lots of people say "Cathy is a GEM!") before I ever got there!

Thank you for the solid and confident sounding reminder that solo can be a perfectly fine way to go!

Hahahaha

But, it probably helps that my life is complicated with 4 teenagers and pet birds hahahaha

But, seriously, friends just don’t let you down as often.

Oh, thanks, Kali! The second one with the summer sky, of course, didn’t do it justice! But at least captured some of that evening’s beauty! (Moonless as it was 😌)

I am another woman lamenting that I never expected to be living my retirement years in fear in this increasingly fraught and heartless-seeming turn our country has taken.

Well, I just went to “heart” this, but I’d be loving the fact that you responded— not hearting what it said.

Thank you for reading my post, Marianne!
