Congratulations to your nephew! My oldest graduated (and my youngest sister’s oldest) too, and it’s a LOT!! I know a lot of childless aunties who are just as emotional when their oldest niece or nephew graduates, so ❤️❤️❤️ That 18 years does absolutely fly by!!

Very nice article, Alison. Congratulations to your nephew. And thanks for the reminder that I shouldn't be standing next to you when the cicadas show up in the QC. :)

Thanks so much, Ed! And no, you definitely should not. ;). Mosquitoes love me as well!

We don’t have cicadas in my neighborhood at all, so I also thought people were blowing it out of proportion until I heard the deafening sound near my son’s school. While parked in the parking lot, one hit my car very near my open window, which I quickly closed. More and more people I know have had confrontations. I feel like it’s just a matter of time before one gets me — when are they going away?!

Congratulations to your nephew! Nothing wrong at all with being a proud aunt!! The more people a kid knows who love and care about them, the better!

Right?! It really is quite astounding. And yep you’d better look out… your time to get dive bombed may be soon!

Good point about the kiddos…. Thanks for reading and commenting, Justin!

Oh wow, thank you so much, Bob! Really appreciate that feedback (and support). I decided, after White Rock, to start giving the voiceover deals try!
